I decided to start this blog as a way for me to tell my thoughts on books I have read. These are all my personal bias opinions, so if you don't agree with my thoughts that is fine with me. I can not promise how often I will update this, or if I will write about every book I read (or attempt to read). My first reviews will be of some of my favorite books.

One of my absolute favorite books is The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy.

The Scarlet Pimpernel is set in 1792 during the French Revolution. During the French Revolution the French people over turned their government and the new government tried and sentenced all the aristocrats to death by guillotine. However there was a band of English men lead by someone only known as The Scarlet Pimpernel, plotting daring escapes of those sentenced to death.
Across the English Channel in London is Sir Percy and Lady Marguerite Blakeney the are the center of British society. Sir Percey is known as one of the wealthiest men in England, he is the most fashionable man in London, and considered dimwit. Lady Blakeney is French. She is a stunning former actress, and “know for being the cleverest woman in Europe.
Lady Blakeney ends up being in the middle of the Frenches search for the Scarlet Pimpernel. A man by the name of Chauvelin, once a friend of Lady Blakeney, has been sent to London on behalf of the new government. Chauvelin has declared that he will find out the identity of the Scarlet Pimpernel and catch him red handed in the act of treason against France, so the he maybe sentenced to death. Chauvelin comes across information that leads him to believe that Lady Blankeney's brother is working with the Scarlet Pimpernel, and has asked Lady Blakeney to find out who the Scarlet Pimpernel is, or let her brother be tried for treason against France.
This book is amazing, the book is written from Lady Blakeney's perspective. As she goes through the book you feel her joy, you feel her sorrow, and you feel her heartbreak.
This book will forever be one of my favorites!
The story of this woman touches my heart. This is such a great story. I love it.
